Sister Belvie and Brother Agni!
Hey everybody!
I hope everyone is doing well! THis week was amazing for us here in the Diata ward. Our two big days were saturday and sunday. On saturday our first rendez-vous was with frere brice, an ami that we have only taught twice. To our suprise he showed up to the lesson with one of his brothers that live with him (they are both university students). He seemed pretty interested and we were able to talk about the restoration with him and the book of mormon. The lesson went well, but what suprised me is our ami the frere brice who just learned about the book of mormon, was already testifying of the truthfulness of it to his brother during the lesson. My comp and I were super happy. another awesome suprise arrived just after the lesson. Frere Brice pulled us aside to ask for another book of mormon so he could give it to another friend! afterwards my comp quoted the quote that talks about seeing the conversion in somebody by the desire he has to share the gospel. After just 1 week we already see that conversion in our frere. Just after the lesson we had our baptismal service for frere chris. It was his birthday which is why he really wanted that we baptize him that day. The service went really well and he bore a strong testimony of the church. He was one of those that showed up during the ward conference. On sunday we were able to hold another baptismal service for sister belvie and frere agni. It was really great too. Our bishop did a great job encouraging all the members to stay and participate and we packedthe sacrament room with members and our amis that had come to church that day. THe services went really well and I was able to baptize sister belvie and my companion baptized frere agni. They too were able to bear stong testimonies of the church. It was a really really great day! All three converts are university students and frere agni is one of the nighguards for the church building! The work is truely moving forward in our ward and it is amazing to see how much the Lord is helping us. I know that it is his work. He is the one that prepares and converts our amis. We are just there to bring the spirit and open our mouths and testify. I love being here.
