Merry Christmas

Hey Everybody!

I hope everyone had an awesome Christmas! Unfortunately we didnt have a white christmas, but we had a very very wet christmas. The rain came down hard christmas morning and completely flooded the city. The water nearly entered into our house, but my companion and I grabbed brooms and buckets and pushed it away until the rain slowed down but in our front yard we had water up to our ankles. Pretty Crazy. Because of the rain many roads were destroyed and only a few members were able to make it to church, but it was really great with the small group that we had. We followed the story of Christ and sang probably all of the Christmas songs in the hymn book. It was great!!

This week we got to spend wednesday with all the missionaries in brazzaville. We Watched the Christmas Devotional , listened to the testimonies of missionaries and sang some christmas carols. The spirit was so strong during that meeting we all felt it and we all learned alot. After we all went to PResidents house to eat and we ate so much food. I can easily say that one of the biggest things that I will miss from my mission after all the people that Ihave met will be the food. We ate fufu and fish and 2 whole goats! It was all really well prepared and it was super tastey!

I really love this time of year and I love being here in congo to celebrate it. I know Christ is our savoir and Our Redeemer. Without him there would be no point to this life, but because of his birth, death and ressurection and everything in between, we have a purpose and a goal. By following His gospel we can have Eternal life. That is the greatest gift of God and we need to do our best so that one day we can find that present sitting under the Christmas tree.
