Hey Everyone!!
I hope everyone had a great week! This week was awesome! We are working hard with the members and it is paying off. We keep taling about the importance of missionary work and they keep bringing us their friends it is a pretty fun relationship. Some of them are even crawy enough to walk out in sector all day with us, they are a pretty devoted group I love it! One thing that I have learned about brazzaville is that one day the sun will be roasting us and the next day everything goes nuts and the rainstorm shows up. I had a super sketchy taxi ride last week. We were teaching a lesson (outside) and the wind started throwing things all over the place so, we closed and tried to get to the paved road to get a taxi before the rain came. Well we ended up booking it because the rain came faster than we expected and we got pretty wet. We did find one luckily down a tiny dirt road and go in. Seconds after getting in the taxi everything went super dark and we couldnt see anything because of the wall of rain. It was crawy very slowly we were able to get back to the apartment, but it was pretty interesting getting there. But We made it safe and sound. The same thing happened on saturday during our baptismal service. A couuple minutes after started the storm hit. Even with the storm going on around us the service went really well and Our amie Sister Besvek was baptized. She is a university student here and has progressed super fast, she is really awesome! We joked that we could baptize here in one of the puddles behind the church instead of in the font, sadly she declined. Other than that everything else is going well! I wish everyone a great week!! Elder Scoffield Oh and Happy Halloween!!
