Miracle in Yaoudé

Bonjour Tout le Monde!

I hope everyone had a great week! For us in Yaounde it was really special! This week we got to have our zone conference with our mission president and also Elder Ellis who is from the quorum of the 70. He is the 2nd counselor in our interegion and he came to see the missionaries and speak during yaounde’s district conference! During the zone meeting he helped us realize how important the gospel is in our lives and the lives of our investigators. Yaounde is so close to becoming a stake and he really encouraged us to keep working hard so that it can become a stake early next year! The members were all really excited to see him during the conference and he did a great job at telling them what they need to do. The big theme that he brought this weekend came from Isaiah 55:8-9. Our ways are not God’s ways and the only intelligent thing for us to do is to try to understand and follow God’s ways.

A miracle happened on Sunday during conference. The church rented a really big room to put everyone in and they thought it would be more that enough for everyone, but Sunday came and the entire room was packed! All the stadium like chairs were filled and another 50 or so that they brought from the church. Every other space was occupied by someone standing for 2 hours to listen. It was so awesome to see how motivated the members were to be there. We also got to

find some new investigators in the process.

Our convert, Sister Carol, brought her mother to conference. Her mom loved it and we are going to start teaching her!!

Frere Yasouffa and I! He is preparing for a mission and will be getting the Melchizedek Priesthood soon!

One big happy family!

Another awesome family in our branch! the only 2 return missionaries in the branch are there. Our amie sister sylvian who is getting baptised on saturday is also there!
