Bastos Baptisms

Frere Arnauld, the convert from the other branch that asked me to baptize him,

his family and then our convert ,Brother Maxim, with my companion and I.

Bonjour tout le monde!

I hope you all had a great week! This was a pretty awesome week for us. The main event for the week was our district's baptismal service on Saturday. There were 4 amis who were baptized including our ami Frere Maxim. He is the one who had the very cool story about finding the church. He progressed really quickly and he was baptized on Saturday. The spirit was so strong during the service and it was a bilingual event. There were two eight year olds who were baptized from the English branch, which meant all the hymns were done sang in English and French. One of the coolest experiences was singing Love at Home as our closing him with the huge group that showed up to support all those who were baptized. The spirit was there especially when the converts bore their powerful testimonies of the gospel. Afterwards we were invited to celebrate with the couple that was baptized in the other branch. We went to their house and they fed us all really good fish and rice.

In my personal studies I just finished studying the New Testament. I really liked the Book of Revelations and how awesome it will be for those who are faithful and obedient to the gospel of Jesus Christ. There are so many blessings promised to us if we stay worthy. It helped me have a lot of hope for what is to come. Stay focused on Christ and everything will work out.
