Bonjour tout le monde!

I hope everyone is doing well during the last few weeks of school. Summer is close.

This week was super fun for my companion and I! So last Saturday we had the open house for our new church building and we found one brother who wanted to talk to us, so on Tuesday we wnt to his house and to our surprise we found all of his little brothers and sisters. He is probably around 28 and the youngest in the house is around 5 or 6. There are a lot of them living in the same house, because they are Central African Refugees who came to cameroon to get away from the war in their country. I was so surprised at how well the lesson went. They all pulled out there bibles and we had a great lesoon on The ministry of Christ and the Great Apostasy. They were probably 6 of them who were interested. We will see what happens, but it went really well and I can already see that they were prepared for us.

This Saturday was packed for us. The morning started with our Mormon Helping Hands service project that we did in the neighborhood a few minutes away from the church building. We got to clean out and fix their drainage system for the neighborhood. They use little canals to drain all the water when it rains, but there was a lot of garbage blocking the flow, so we got to clean all that out. It was super fun and afterwards it looked great!

After that activity we had to rush home and shower and change to get to our district’s baptismal service. (as a missionary you learn how to get cleaned up real quick). There were 5 amis who were baptised into 3 branches. For us we baptised the little sister of one of my first converts. Sister blandine, who is one of the smartest kids I have met. She learned the gospel super fast and she is going to be awesome. It was pretty fun seeing two events of purification. We got to purify physically the neighboorhood gutters and then in the same day we had the opportunity to watc h 5 amis purify themselves spiritually by being baptised. It was a pretty filled day for us, but it was so incredible!

Well that was it for this week! Thanks for all your love and support! I hope you all have a great week!

Love,

Elder Scoffield
