nous voici tous enrolés (we are all enlisted)

Bonjour tout le monde!

This week was pretty awesome! It was pretty different than most weeks and filled with all sorts of suprises. I found out that I am the new District Leader for our Bastos district. That was pretty suprising, but it is going to be fun. The congolese Elders gave me a new name. Mukunzie (mookoonzee) means chief in lingala, so that’s what they call me now, which is pretty funny. Also on Tuesday we were out in sector and found a huge mango close to the size of my head, for those who may have forgotten my head is HUGE. That was awesome and tastey too. I also got to work in a group of three for two days while we waited for an Elder to arrive from Brazzaville. Working in 3 is really fun because it is a pretty big difference than just 2 Elders. You get to hear more opinions and points and the flow in the lesson is a bit different. I also really liked it because I got to work in a new sector for 2 days which was pretty cool.

The new missionary that we got in our apartment is named Elder Tokinaina from Madagascar and he is hilarious. Madagascian french is pretty different from other french (it almost sounds like spanish), but it has been fun hearing all the cool stories that he has. We have been out on the mission for about the same amount of time and we have been getting along really well. I have spoken less than 10 sentances in English during this past week. My french is getting so much better in an all french apartment.

On Tuesday we set a baptismal date for one of my amis, and he was excited. He needs to learn more, but he really wants to get baptised and I was so happy. I also have never ever seen someone with a great er desire to pay tithing than this brother. We taught tithing and he went on and on telling stories about tithing and the importance of it, I thought that was really awesome. His name is brother Manga.
