Nous savons où nous voulons aller

Bonjour tout le monde,

I hope everyone had a great week. The major highlight of this week for us was the opportunity we had to watch conference. So in Africa there are very few places that are able to watch conference live, for the most part they have to wait a few weeks to download it and show it in the church buildings. It was pretty awesome to watch. For me personally it was a bit interesting, because it was all translated and they used French translators from France. The French that I have been speaking and listening to for the past 6 months is close enough, but it was sometimes a little hard to get every word. One of my favorite talks was the one given by our Prophet. He did not talk for too long, but his message really hit me. He talked about the choices that we have in our lives and all the different paths that we can choose. And if we were those who didn’t know or didn’t care where we were going we could take any path or make any choice, but we are not those who don’t know where we are going. We know where we want to go (nous savons où nous voulons aller), and we know the path that leads there. We want to live with our Heavenly Father again and he has laid down commandments and other steps that we must take to get there. All of that is before us and now we just need to choose that path and stick to it even when it gets hard. I really loved that talk and I testify that Thomas S. Monson is the prophet of God on the Earth today.

The rest of the week was a pretty regular week for us, however this is now the last week before we get transfer letters, and this transfer will be a pretty big change. I am looking forward to see what happens, I really hope to stay in my same sector, but we will see how it goes.

Thanks for all of your love and support! I hope you all have a great week!

1. Elder Idumu got a root canal this week for some roots that were left in his gums from when he knocked his tooth out at the MTC. That was a first for him and the drugs made him pretty weird, but he is good now.
