Bonjour tout le monde,
This was a super awesome week. My companion and I had some great lessons, and even found a new family to teach!! That was super fun. For me I have not yet taught a family, I don’t know why exactly, but we just havent found one until now, but I am super excited. This family lives on a side of a pretty steep hill, so to get to his house you take these stairs that they made, but when you are climbing down you are climbing down into this incredibly green jungle. The father is a very nice guy and his kids are super sweet to us missionaries. There are 3 big highlights this week. The FIRST is that is now mango season, and holy cow I found my new favorite fruit. I can by 5 mangos for about 40 cents and the price will keep dropping as the season goes on, but I have eaten way to many mangos this week. The SECOND highlight is that our second counselor in our branch presidency had his baby boy! He called us the morning he was born (Tuesday) and then on Thursday he invited us over to see him and to eat! This little baby boy is adorable and is so tiny. It is their first child, but I know without doubt the two will be awesome parents. The dinner was good too, except the food here has peppers added to EVERYTHING, so my mouth was on fire the whole time, but seeing the baby was way worth it. The THIRD highlight is that I went on splits on Friday so our district leader could talk with our ami who is getting baptised. With that I left to go work with his companion in the English branch sector. It was my first time working over there and one it was very very pretty, and two I couldn’t understand a lot. Right now the french here is a lot easier than the english. Their English is good and correct, but the accent is so different that it was pretty hard to understand, but the day was super fun anyway. Everyone here who hears us americans talk say that we don’t open our mouths at all when we talk and they cant understand, so I got to really enunciate on Friday which was fun. Those were basically the highlights for this week.
I hope all of you who watched conference really enjoyed it! We get to watch it this week which will be awesome! I know that each and every person that spoke has been called by God to help guide us today. IF we do what they say, THEN we will receive the blessings and promises, it is a pretty easy principle. They are those inspired by our Heavenly Father to help us get through this life so that we can enjoy the Eternal life to come. All we need to do is be obedient, and put it into practice. I know this church is true and I love being a missionary who gets to talk about it!
Have a great week!

1 As a missionary it is advised not to hold babies, so of course I went into their house with the intention to not hold him, but what can you do when the mother puts him in your arms?! Anyways I got to hold a super tiny little african baby, but that is top secret information haha. (EXCEPT FOR THE FACT THAT HIS MOM JUST POSTED IT ON FB, NOT SO TOP SECRET) 2.My new friend is so cute. They haven't chosen a first name, but so far it is Ebua Nzang ______. I suggusted Noé so we will see how it goes.
3.Its a worldwide fact: Dads will maul their kids faces. That is Frere Nzang. he is super awesome!
4. This is the daily special called SakaSaka, Pondu, or Quem depending on where you are. Just a beautifully fried fish head, crushed up leaf sauce and boiled down corn powder. As weird as it looks it is pretty good.
