This week was pretty interesting, but I had a lot of fun. Tuesday there was a big district activity where all the young men and young single adults and then the missionaries played sports. We started out learning how to play field hockey which was pretty fun, and then after we played soccer. We were able to play full field with actual goals and it was awesome. It was pretty funny because all the americans got picked last but some of us actually held our own. They are soo good a soccer here and take it very very seriously. The game got really instense and a lot of them started losing their temper and it was pretty funny and at the same time terrifying. Some of the guys in our district are huge. I would not be surprised if a few of them could bench press trucks, but when they started getting fiesty with eachother it was pretty funny. The new year here was pretty good as well. As a missionary it was very difficult getting people to talk to us because they all just wanted to party, so as a missionary new years day was pretty difficult, but it was also my companions birthday so we were able to celebrate that night so that was good. New Years Eve was pretty funny because there were soo many parties going on, there was a lot of really loud music and people going crazy. It was nice though for about an hour when we had a huge blackout that took up our whole neighboorhood. It was one of the biggest ones I have been in and we all joked it was Heavenly Father slowing down the parties. Besides that the rest of the week was pretty normal. Something interesting was one day when I was in the backseat of a taxi with first a family of 5 (6 of us in the backseat is a new record), and then after in the same taxi ride an older women walks in with a box full of baby chicks.
I had a pretty cool experience this week last night as I was watching one of the missionary training videos. This week I was a little frustrated because we didn’t get to teach or do as much as we wanted to and it was not a very productive week and I was in a not so good mood. Then I watched a clip from the missionary video and it was a missionary talking about how much he feels the love and support of Heavenly Father even during the really hard weeks and at that same moment I became so happy and had such a great feeling come over me. All of that frustration went away and was replaced with the love of my Heavenly Father. I learned as long as we do our best and do what He wants us to do he is happy with that. He is always there to show us love and give us help and guidance everyday. If you had a bad week saya prayer and ask for that love and support and I know you will find it. I love being here and the time is going by so fast.
Je vous aime beacoup!!
