Bonjour Tout le Monde!
This was a pretty great week. I love christmastime and now it is finally here! Even though the weather doesn’t want to make it seem like christmas we decorated our apartment so we have the christmas feel. Everybody loves Christmas here and this week we get to go to a few Christmas activities for our branch and district it will be great. There was a lot that happened this week. Monday night was fun because it was my night to cook and we planned for stir-fry. So we got all ready to cook and then the power went out. So I got to cook it all under the light of a candle and a flashlight. It was probably one of my favorite meals yet. Elder Dorson, the new Elder, took a lot of culinary arts in high school and he helped me and it tasted soo good. Eating in the dark was pretty fun too. Second awesome thing was the other Elders had a baptism on Saturday and it was so great. Those that got baptised all gave their testimonies afterword and it was such a great experience. The third thing that happened was that I got to talk in sacrament meeting for the first time on Sunday. I was scheduled weeks ago but it got delayed, but I was happy because my french is a whole lot better now than it was then, and I got to talk about Jesus Christ (which I basically do everyday but I got to add a christmas tone so it was fun). I talked and highlighted the most important gift we have ever received which is the atonement or the sacrafice of Christ. I shared the Push-up fireside from scout camp and testified of the power of the atonement and I think it went pretty well. The french got a little sloppy at the end, but for the most part it worked out, so I was really happy!
Everybody have an incredible Christmas and remember why we are celebrating and Who we are celebrating. If you do that I know you will find a lot of happiness. I know that Jesus Christ is our Savoir and Redeemer and he has given us the greatest gift of all. It is now up to us to remember and use that gift we have been given to try to become like Him.
Je vous aime beaucoup
