CALLED TO SERVE

Based on current mission call trends, we were expecting Noah's call on Sturday, would have been perfect, we had family in town for him to be ordained as an elder. It was a bummer when it didn't come because he was headed to scout camp on Monday.

Well, it did arrive on Monday and we couldn't wait for him to come home, so we decided to take it up to camp and read it up there. It ended up being so perfect. Grandparents were able to come to the camp on their way home so it was the best of both worlds. Noah was excited to open the call at scout camp because he has many found memories of previous elders reading their calls up there while he was young, making quite the impression on him. He was happy to pay it forward. It was extra special because they were dressed as stripling warriors as the leaders of the camp.

When Noah read his call, the jaws dropped as he read "The Republic of Congo, Brazzaville Mission" there were gasps across the crowd and Noah looked shocked. Mom almost had a heart attack! However, the next line said he would be speaking French. That was Noah's dream, a french speaking humble people. I knew immediately that this was inspired and exactly where he should be. It was such a gift, to be comforted by that tender mercy.

We are all going to miss him! Millie's is not sure about this!
